Privacy Policy

This policy covers gettheedgeup.com and our email list for the upcoming EdgeUp report. It’s short because we collect very little.
What we collect
When you join our list, we record:
- your email address (required);
- your business name (required);
- your US state, or “Outside the US” (required);
- the date and time you signed up;
- which version of the sign-up wording you agreed to;
- which version of the page headline you saw, and whether you used a preview link; and
- a scrambled, one-way code made from your IP address (a salted hash). We use it only to limit repeat or automated sign-ups. We don’t store your actual IP address with your sign-up.
We show visitors one of a few versions of our page headline. Which one you see is chosen from your IP address and browser type, not cookies, and that choice isn’t stored unless you sign up.
Like most websites, our web host may also keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
Why we collect it
To email you when the report opens and send occasional updates about it, to see which states interest is coming from, to learn which headline works best, and to prevent spam and abuse.
Where it’s stored
Sign-ups are saved in a file on our web hosting provider’s servers (DreamHost), outside the public website. Only the EdgeUp team can access it.
Sharing
We don’t sell or rent your information. We don’t share it except with service providers that help us run this site (today, our web host), or if the law requires it. Nothing you enter on this site is sent to any AI system.
No cookies or third-party tracking
This site uses no cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts, fonts or embeds. To compare headlines, we count page views per headline as daily totals only, with no IP addresses or other identifiers. No third party collects information about your activity on this site over time or across other sites. Because we don’t track you across visits or sites, the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Emails
We’ll only email you about the report, including when it opens. We aren’t sending any emails yet. Every email we send will include a way to opt out and our postal address.
Getting removed, or seeing your details
Email hello@gettheedgeup.com from the address you signed up with. We’ll tell you what we have, correct it, or delete it. You can also opt out using the link in any email we send.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until we close the list.
When the report launches
This policy will be updated before the report itself is offered. Running a report means sharing business details with AI model providers used to run tests. The business details you provide are shared with those providers only in the review and analysis steps that happen after the test questions are answered.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change affects how we use your email address, we’ll tell you by email first.
